We guess there are many contributors who wonder why their works they uploaded to PIXTA and are quite confident of in terms of quality have not sold as well as they expected. In many cases, the main cause seems to lie not in its quality but in tags you put when uploading them.
In other words, sales of your work absolutely depend on whether the tag put on it is appropriate or not, even if it has passed our review and its quality is fairly high.
Therefore, we strongly recommend using the tool to edit tags on “My page” of your PIXTA account, and make the tags updated!
1. How to edit tags
Here is an explanation of how to edit tags you put in the past.
First, jump from “Content Manager” on your “My page” to “Content Details”.
Then, click “Change the keywords” to edit (add or delete) tags.
In the case of the photo above, there seems to be a very low possibility for it to be listed high on a search result of PIXTA due to the small number of tags put on it, which is just 4. In order for the image to hit as many keywords as possible, we would add more tags to it.
For instance, tags below could be added to this kind of image:
Shoot / Photo / Digital camera / Lens / White background / Part-cut / Body parts / Person / Woman / Hand(s) / Ready to shoot
After editing the tags, click “OK” (Save) to finish the change.
You can add tags up to 50, so please try to find out and register keywords highly related to your image.
*It may take a whole day at max for the added keywords to be reflected in search results.
*Please refer to this page about the rules in tagging your works.
2. Promote your works on a webpage or blog
Furthermore, you can promote your works on sale through webpages and blogs.
Click “Image promotion embed code” to see a screen like below.
By selecting an image size from “Long side”, you can get a HTML code of an image size that you like.
Please provide the link at a blog or other webpages to promote your works.
