For those who produce vector contents, we have released a script which can autmatically check if there is filled open shapes or not.
This can be put in to your Illustrator.
Please use this script when you produce vector contents!

Things this script can check automatically

If following objects are included in a file, it will detect it automatically and let you know.

  • Filled open shape(s)
  • Stray point(s)
  • Non-outlined text
  • Embed raster image or linked image
  • Hidden item(s)

How to install

Download this script
↑ Please right-click a link and save it.

  1. Right-click the link above and save the link destination to your PC.
  2. Copy a saved file to a folder below.
    Adobe Illustrator (Version number you’re useing) / Preset / Script
  3. When you activate Illustrator, if “eps_ng_checker” is added in “Scripts” of “File” menu, installation is complete.

How to use

  1. Open an EPS file you want to check by your Illustrator
  2. Select and click “eps_ng_checker” from “Scripts” in “File”
  3. A check will begin automatically
  4. Checking is complete, the notice “Checking is complete.” will be appeared and defective objects will be selected (If there is no defective object, nothing will be selected.)
  5. Check the selected objects and modify them

【Note】
Time that takes to check will be materially different depends on a number of a placed object or the spec of your PC.
*In the case of a file which has so many objects, there is a possibility that it stops in the middle of checking. We kindly ask for your understanding in advance.

Notice: Vector files produced by Illustrator CS2 are now able to be online!

Recently a version of EPS files which are compatible with Illustrator CS2 has become to be salable. Effects that you wanted to use but not usable could be savable.
