PIXTA Exclusive Program

In PIXTA, contributors can receive higher royalties with selling their images as exclusive.

Exclusive contributors sell their all images only at PIXTA (Total Exclusive).
You can apply to become an Exclusive Contributor member once you have reached 150 sales of photos or illustrations for the past year (Rank 2 and higher contributor members on PIXTA), or 50 sales of photos or illustrations for the past 3 months.
Partial exclusivity is an option for non-exclusive contributors which raises royalty rates of certain images specified as exclusive.

Partial exclusivity is an option for non-exclusive contributors which raises royalty rates of certain images specified as exclusive.
If you set certain images as exclusive, you cannot sell them at any other stock photo agencies, but you can get higher royalties instead.

You can change the exclusivity of your contents in your submit page or contents manager.

Be sure to carefully read and accept “PIXTA Terms and Conditions for Exclusive Supply of Contents” before you set your contents as exclusive.

● How to sell your contents as exclusive

You can set your contents “exclusive” individually in “Submit Images” or “Content Manager” pages. Carefully read “PIXTA Terms and Conditions for Exclusive Supply of Contents”, tick the checkbox and just click “apply” button.

Once you set your contents as exclusive, you cannot cancel the exclusivity for less than 90 days from the date of your request. In addition, you are required to wait for 90 days before you resume to sell the contents as exclusive again.

Photos and illustrations

*Currently, exclusive contributors program is not available for contributors who sell only footage. As for footage, you can get higher royalties by partial exclusivity (setting contents as exclusive individually).

If you are selling both photos/illustrations and footage, you can apply for an exclusive contributor based on your photos/illustrations sales, and the privilege is applied for photos/illustrations only.

*In case exclusive contributors sell footage, they are sold as exclusive in accordance to “Terms and Conditions for Exclusive Creator”.

Requirements

You can apply to become an Exclusive Contributor member one you have reached 150 sales of photos or illustrations for the past year (Rank 2 and higher contributor members on PIXTA), or 50 sales of photos or illustrations for the past 3 months.
*Sales of footage are not counted.

Restrictions

If you become an exclusive contributor, you are subject to the restrictions in accordance with “Terms and Conditions for Exclusive Contributor”.

Here are some of the restrictions:
– Sell your images at any other stock agencies
– Distribute your images to others (with or without a fee)
(including the rejected images)

Basically PIXTA does not require exclusivity for:
– Use your images for your personal portfolio website for the display purpose
– Create and sell any printed material
– Work for hire/editorial work contracts
